The journey behind Spoiled Dirty Rotten Integrative Living
My journey into wellness began with creativity.
As a young entrepreneur, I built a fashion design business while also pursuing education in professional skin and nail care. I loved helping people feel confident through beauty, but after the birth of my daughter, my life unexpectedly changed. Chronic back pain began to limit my ability to do the work I loved.
Rather than accepting that pain would define my future, I chose a different path. I became determined to understand the human body and search for natural ways to heal.
That decision led me to massage therapy, where I earned my Associate of Science Degree in Advanced Massage Therapy. My passion for learning continued into acupuncture school, where I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and discovered a completely different way of understanding health, balance, and the body's ability to heal itself.
Unfortunately, ocular migraines eventually made it unsafe for me to drive, forcing me to leave acupuncture school before completing the program. At the time it felt like another setback, but looking back, it redirected my life in ways I never expected.
Throughout those years I continued expanding my education, later returning to school to earn a second Associate of Science Degree in Advanced Paramedical Skin Care. I combined skincare with massage therapy, believing beauty and wellness should always work together rather than separately.
As my career grew, so did my understanding of the body. I immersed myself in aromatherapy, Ayurveda, botanical medicine, herbal wellness, yoga, Yoga Nidra, sound and vibrational therapy, and holistic approaches that viewed the entire person instead of isolated symptoms.
Then my own body forced me to change once again.
Years of practicing advanced neuromuscular massage became physically impossible. Unknown to me at the time, I was living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a connective tissue disorder that had quietly influenced my health for decades. Although I wouldn't receive that diagnosis until much later, I had already spent years searching for answers—not only for my clients, but for myself.
Unable to continue practicing intensive bodywork, I began asking a new question:
How could I continue helping people if my own body could no longer tolerate the work I loved?
The answer became Spoiled Dirty Rotten Natural Cosmetics.
Instead of relying on my hands alone, I began pouring everything I had learned into handcrafted botanical skincare, therapeutic essential oil blends, bath and body products, and wellness rituals. My products became an extension of my treatments—created with the same knowledge, care, and intention I had once provided in the treatment room.
Along the way I also faced many of the same struggles my clients experience, including chronic pain, weight challenges, hormonal changes, and learning how to rebuild my health one step at a time. Those experiences deepened my belief that true wellness isn't about quick fixes—it's about creating sustainable daily practices that nourish the body, calm the nervous system, and restore quality of life.
Today my work has evolved far beyond products.
Spoiled Dirty Rotten Integrative Living brings together botanical beauty, therapeutic wellness experiences, education, gardening, aromatherapy, yoga, sound healing, herbal traditions, nutrition, and lifelong learning into one connected philosophy.
My mission is simple:
